Preparing for your first marathon is no joke and there are certain things you should do to prepare your mind and body for the long road ahead:⁠

- You cannot make up your training in the last two weeks. You should be training far enough out to be running marathon distance or further by the time you are two weeks out⁠
⁠
- Stay well hydrated and get your nutrition plan mapped out so you've worked out the kinks⁠
⁠
- Adjust your strength training to your marathon schedule. Don't forget about callisthenics and core work⁠
⁠
- Figure out what you are going to wear and how you'll minimize chafing. Remember: nothing new on race day!⁠
